Presentation of the project plan:

With "YoutHome" (YH), a stationary child and youth welfare facility based on SGB VIII for a maximum of 30 unaccompanied male refugees from the Middle East and countries of the Arab-Islamic world (including the Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and North Africa) at the age of 9 to 14 years. According to the EU Asylum Reception Directive, unaccompanied, underage refugees are considered to be particularly in need of protection, so that they have special procedural guarantees with regard to accommodation and care. Based on this, YH would like to create a residential group structure in which differentiated, individually adapted pedagogical work with sufficient subsistence is offered for these children and young people. The work is carried out in cooperation with the target group itself after “learning from the model”. Accordingly, a balanced relationship is created between closeness and distance as well as the granting of freedom and the setting of boundaries. A trusting bond should develop and form the central basis of the work. The aim is to perceive every child or young person as an individual, to encourage them according to their abilities, interests and resources, so that they can find orientation later in life and in society as independent, independent people who are capable of making decisions. YoutHome focuses on promoting and supporting the target group and will offer educational and leisure activities as well as various workshops, courses and projects. It is driven by the values of professionalism and responsibility to make a meaningful contribution to children and young people individually and to society in general. Commitment, knowledge, sensitivity and a world view accompany the work, whereby the focus is on resources instead of deficits.
